Cherubim (Cherub, singular) are a first sphere classification of angel.
Cherubim once guarded the tree of life in the Garden of Eden and the Throne of God.
Traditionally, cherubim have four faces, a human face, a lion, an eagle and an ox. They have four conjoined wings covered with eyes, a lion's body figure and an ox's feet.
Cherubim are usually slight and flail in appearance but they move quickly and dodge threats instinctively, sometimes not even noticing they do it.
Cherubim are mute, save for the faint bird like chittering, a noise which othe rangels are able to unstand as perfect words. They are generally not very animated except in the presence of seraphim , at which stage they will begin preening the other angels wings and feathers without instruction, an act seraphim seem unaware of unless it's drawn to their attention.
Some cherubim will exclusively mark a single seraphim and return to them constantly to preen and simple stay in their company.
